Teaching :

Division of Dairy Microbiology at Faculty of Dairy Technology is actively involved in teaching and offers courses of Dairy Microbiology for Undergraduate degree (B. Tech.) in Dairy Technology. The division aims to work towards the goal of empowering graduates with latest knowledge and skills to make them learn the importance of Microbiology and Milk safety in order to further fulfil the growing demands of Dairy industry and also encourage them to pursue higher studies in this field. Undergraduate courses being taught according to instructional syllabus as per ICAR are as follows: Fundamentals of Microbiology, Microbiology of fluid milk, Microbiology of Dairy Products, Starter Cultures and Fermented Milk Products, Quality and Safety Monitoring in Dairy Industry, Food and Industrial Microbiology

  • Importance of milk and milk products safety for community
  • Techniques and methods of food preservation and enhancing shelf life
  • Importance and methodology of quality control
  • Entrepreneurial skill development in accordance with dairy safety measures
