Directorate of Planning & Monitoring

The Directorate of Planning and Monitoring plays a crucial role in the strategic development and progress of SKUAST-Jammu by assisting in the formulation of plans, budgets, and project monitoring. It ensures effective coordination and alignment of University initiatives with broader objectives for sustainable growth and development.

Mandate

• To assist the Vice Chancellor and University authorities in matters related to the planning and development of the University.
• To prepare the annual development plan in consultation with the Comptroller and other University officers/employees.
• To provide advice on the preparation of Budget Estimates, creation of posts, and establishment of special facilities in alignment with the University’s programmes and projects.
• To monitor the implementation and progress of major programmes and projects of the University.
• To act as a bridge between the University and the Agriculture Production Department of the UT of J&K Government.

Activities

• Monitoring the physical and financial progress of major projects and programmes and ensuring alignment with University goals.
• Preparing and publishing the annual report of the University by gathering and synthesizing data from all departments and units.
• Sharing scientific information to the Agriculture Production Department of J&K, as required by Central and State governments.
• Managing the CAPEX budget and monitoring NABARD CAPEX/RIDF-funded projects for effective implementation and utilization.
