Teaching :

Teaching basic and advanced courses and imparting theoretical as well as practical knowledge in the discipline of Plant Pathology to the students of B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D.

Research :

Regular Survey and Surveillance Programmes to monitor the outbreak of plant Diseases. Investigations on Epidemiology, Etiology and Management of economically important fungal, bacterial and viral diseases of Agricultural, Horticultural, Vegetable and Spices Crops. Formulation of Research Projects / Proposals based on needs and demands reflected by the development departments. Mushroom biology and standardization of cultivation technology of medicinal and novel mushrooms.

Extension :

Dissemination of the technologies to the farmers and the field functionaries through KVKs. Diagnostic visits Monthly workshops of the officers of the Departments of Agriculture and Horticulture. Training to the officers of line department are being conducted through the Directorate of Extension / SAMETI

• Developing microbial consortium of biological control agents for disease management and plant growth enhancement
