Teaching :

Teaching basic and advanced courses in Plant Breeding and Genetics to B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. students. Enhancing academic excellence among students through deep understanding of subject critical thinking and promoting efficient communication for improved academic performance.

Research :

Development and deployment of high yielding climate resilient, nutritionally efficient crop varieties for Jammu region Maintenance of elite germplasm and supply of Nucleus/ Breeder seed of released varieties in rice, wheat maize, pulses and oilseed crops.

Extension :

Laying frontline demonstrations and distribution of minikits to demonstrate the potential of new varieties and improved production technology.
