Barbari



1.     The Barbari goat is originated in Uttar Pradesh India. It is the Dual purpose goat breed that produces Milk and Meat in very Good Amount. It is the most famous breed of India which Looks a like Deer. This breed is well known for its tasty meat.
2.     The Barbari goat gets its name from Berbera, a coastal city located on the Indian Ocean in Somalia. The Barbari is most commonly found in the north-western arid and semi-arid regions.
3.     The Barbari goat performs well in Semi-intensive management system or intensive management system (stall feeding).
4.     Barabari goat comes after Black Bengal Goat in the fertility rate.
5.     This short breed is mainly known for Early Sexual maturity and the ability to Produce multiple kids in each gestation.
6.     The Barbari is a small goat of compact form. The head is small and neat, with small upward-pointing ears and small horns.
7.     The coat is short and is most commonly white spotted with brownish red; solid colours also occur. There is a polled strain, the Thori Bari.
