About The Web Module
BackOrganic dairy farming is an emerging alternative to the intensive conventional dairy production systems, which is based on the development of harmonious relationship among soil, plants, dairy animals and humans. The demand for information is growing world over, for methods and practices of organic farming including organic dairy production. This web module has been developed by the scientists of SKUAST-Jammu to cater to this growing information need of stakeholders at different levels. This application provide the information on Organic Farming System in general and organic dairy production in particular which include characteristics of Ideal organic Farm and requirements of Feeding, Breeds & Breeding, Health Care, Record Keeping, Managemental Practices, Animal Welfare, Organic dairy production in relation to Public Health, Certification & certification Standards, Organic Agriculture Scenario in India and steps involved in setting up of a Livestock Dairy Farm.
