Pre-Departure Information for International Students

• Students should make sure about the following points before leaving their home country.
• Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu is just 5 Km away from Jammu Airport.
• It is advised that students should carry sufficient cash/credit cards as per their living standard. If the student carries US Dollars or any other currency it may be exchanged at International Airport or any other relevant places.
• Valuable documents (Passport, visa papers, acceptance letter, transcripts/certificates, etc.) should be kept in the airline cabin/hand baggage, to avoid the possibility of their getting misplaced during baggage transfer or change of flights, etc.
• Jammu temperature ranges between 30 to 45 degree Celsius during summers and 5 to 25 degree Celsius during winters.
• The standard voltage for households in India is 220 V so ensure to carry an adapter for your mobile or laptop if it operates on a different voltage in your country.
