Research :
The division at present, besides actively, imparting teaching programme to UG,PG, PhD students is working on the phenotypic and genotypic characterization of Bacterial and fungal organisms, of socio-economic and public health importance. The division is also stepping forward and struggling for establishing laboratory for diagnosis and diagnostics related to viral diseases of public health importance that are causing great economic losses to the livestock industry.
Extension :
1. The division provides support to the development departments in disease diagnosis, treatment for prevention and control. 2. The division provides support from time to time for capacity building of field functionaries and farming communities in controlling of emerging diseases of the region.
The flagship areas :-
- Diagnosis and characterization of bacterial diseases of socioeconomic importance of the division.
Teaching :
Provide high-quality education and training to undergraduate and postgraduate students in veterinary sciences
Research :
Conduct cutting-edge research to develop new diagnostic tools, vaccines, and therapeutics for animal diseases
Extension :
Offer diagnostic/advisory/entrepreneurship development services to the veterinary and farming community to enhance animal health and productivity
The flagship areas :-
- Vaccine Research
- Molecular Diagnostics for Animal Diseases
- Antimicrobial Resistance
- Microbial Metagenomics
