Five day long ‘Vet Fest-2017’- Inauguration of various events at SKUAST-Jammu

The Sports Events (Indoor & Outdoor) of five day long “Vet Fest 2k17”, organized by Faculty of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, SKUAST-Jammu, RS Pura were today inaugurated by Prof. Pradeep K. Sharma, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu in presence of Dr. T.A.S. Ganai, Director Education, Dr. Deepak Kher, Director (Planning & Monitoring), Dr. M.M.S. Zama, Dean, FVSc & AH, Mr. R.K. Saproo, Estates Officer and all Heads of Divisions of the Faculty. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Pradeep K. Sharma showed his contentment on the organization of such activities and advised the students that they should actively participate in both the indoor and outdoor sports activities and desired that such activities should be the part & parcel of their course curriculum. Earlier, on October 25, Dr. T.A.S. Ganai, Director Education, SKUAST-Jammu inaugurated the Literary Event in which various types of competitions viz. Debate, Story Writing, Mad – Ad, Ship Wreck, Quiz and Youth Parliament were held. Consecutively, Cultural Event of the festival was inaugurated by Dr. K.S. Risam, Director Extension, SKUAST-Jammu on October 26, 2017 in which various types of competitions of Dance (Solo, Duet and Group), Singing (Solo, Duet and Group), Theatre (Skit, Mime and Monoact) and Flower Decoration were held. The students performed brilliantly in both the Literary and Cultural Events. The prizes amongst the winners will be distributed on the Valedictory of the festival. In the end, Dr. Pradeep K. Sharma, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the University expressed his happiness and conveyed the best wishes to the Organizing Committee and especially to Dr. M.M.S. Zama, Chairman of the organizing team.
