The main aim of KVK is to reduce time lag between generation of technology at the research institution and its transfer to the farmers for increasing productivity and income from the agriculture and allied sectors on a sustainable basis.  In order to achieve this goal the following four mandates have been envisaged in the design of the Krishi Vigyan Kendra:
